What is it with my department? I come back after missing a sick day, and now Justin (who sits 2 cubes behind me) is suddenly seized with a fever, sore throat, etc, and has to leave early. It doesn't seem to be the same bug that I had - mine was abdominal pain - I thought for a little while that I might have appendicitis

I have a coworker who is usually out sick one or 2 days after I see her complaining she feels bad. It's a common cold usually. 90% of the time I just work through them (she usually suggest that I go home and I say nah.) Her... she takes the day off and has her mother come over and take care of her. She's in her early 20's.

How many sick days do you get where you work? Prettu much everyone I know will work through a simple cold because people often have that at this time of year, and there aren't enough sick days to cover all of the time when someone just has a cough and a plugged-up nose.
