First of all, I would like to thank everyone very much for their condolences.  My whole family has had a great outpouring of kindness over the past few months, both in person and indirectly.  It brought a great deal of comfort to Mom, and it has brought a great deal of comfort to my father, my brothers, and myself.

Those colours look great! - reminds me of some pictures, took when I was visiting my brother in Colchester a few years ago at around this time of year.

I think you live in one of the most beautiful parts of the country. I was lucky to see it recently, and found it spectacular.

You should see it at least briefly in the fall. It's not just the foliage - on a sunny day, the air is cool but not too cold, and the air is a little more dry , which makes the view more clear and the sky a deeper blue than at most other times of year. If you can find just the right place under tree in full color (usually a maple) with the sun shining right through the leaves on a crystal clear day, the leaves let enough light through that you are almost bathed in colored light, like you were standing in front of an enormous stained glass window. Granted, the light will only be 1 or two colors, but unlike the panes on stained glass window, the leaves will probably be moving around constantly , so that the light is constantly shifting ( ... )
