Book Readings

Oct 07, 2006 14:02

For some reason, I often forget when authors i like come to town. I've missed Tim O'Brien a few times along with a couple others. So, now I post in here so as to not forget.

October 24th: Richard Ford
October 27th: Richard Dawkins.

Hot damn, 2 in one week, a mere 6 blocks from my apartment.

John Hodgman is Tuesday. I'm (probably) not going to buy The Areas of My Expertise again in paperback, but I'll definitely go to the reading. The Q&A portion of the last one was done via walkie-talkie.

wow, ford is in pdx on the *day of release* of the new book? that kind of makes us seem sorta special, don't you think?

in other good new book news, the new Johnathan Franzen book just came out, and it's a childhood memoir titled "the discomofort zone." i don't think i'll be able to avoiding grabbing that, too...

can't wait too see Ford with you!
