I have read your other server blog, and as I said on the comments section there, if you want servers to treat you better and respond to all of your extreme requests(which I also have because I am insanely picky)then perhaps you should tip better I usually tip 50% for good service, and 30% for average because I know I am a difficult customer. Oddly enough my food is never messed up.

As I said before, for restaurants I have never been to before even in different states even, that's not going to make them treat me better the first time I have them, is it? It's also not going to improve the service if they gave me bad service to tip them well anyways. That's just going to ENFORCE the bad service that people will pay well no matter how poorly they treat you ( ... )

I order a burger medium well with cheddar cheese, lettuce, onions, and bacon extra, extra crispy only. I order no salt of seasoning on the fries, not overdone as well fries. I also ask for many condiments like 2 sides of mayo, 1 side of mustard, 1 side of ranch, 1 side of bbq sauce, and 1 side of tartar sauce. For an appetizer, I may ask for 2 ranches and a bbq sauce for example as well.

Here's my question. If another server or a food runner brings out the food incorrectly, EVEN IF the server taking care of you rang everything up as you ordered it on the ticket, would you hold it against your server? Would you demand that they show you the order ticket to ensure that it was not their fault? Or would you accept that sometimes, IT IS NOT IN OUR CONTROL that your order came out wrong?

Any excuse not to leave a tip, right? anonymous November 4 2011, 03:37:35 UTC
You do realize that 99% of servers DO NOT HANDLE MONEY AT A REGISTER. There's a head cashier, or the manger or a senior server who takes all the bills, prints all the receipts and handles all the money to prevent sticky fingers from palming a Benjamin or two.

The chances that your server even looks at your line-item bill are slim and none. And before you scream, again "but it's their job11!1!!1!!"...no, it's not. Their job is to take your order and bring you your food as efficiently as possible. If you want to talk about money, talk to management.

BTW-experienced servers can see your type coming a mile away and do their best to palm you off on someone else.

NO, my server's money should be 100% EQUALLY IMPORTANT AS MINE. I am not a bitch, I am wanting that back caring as they should be to OUR MONEY IDIOT, EQUAL/EQUAL IDIOT!!

I'm sure this won't be allowed to go through because of the obvious bias against servers on this blog, but after having read through this and other postings by springs1, I feel compelled to say ( ... )

My question is this:
If it is a server's job to check their bill, and they don't do it,that is wrong. However, you can't even take the time to check spelling and grammar on your psychotic rants...very interesting.

And,just a side note, you seem like you may have a personality disorder, you should seek help immediately.

HOW, when I am **NOT** getting PAID here, the server is? How stupid are you to not understand that what I do isn't dependent on money?

"And,just a side note, you seem like you may have a personality disorder, you should seek help immediately."

You should that someone has to explain WHY someone may try harder vs. not try as hard that one is getting PAID, the other ISN'T, DUHHH!!!

I was just wondering if you could respond to this comment with no words written in all caps. Honestly, I have no idea if you can do that.

Request aside, were you harmed by a waitress in your past? Some childhood trauma resulting in an undying bias against them? Waitress stole your boyfriend once?

And from a comment up above: "I have my order wrong 85% of my outings." Maybe one should look at the common denominator? If you go to different places, but they all screw up your order 85% of the time, maybe, just maybe, it's you. But wait, you're springs1, you can do no wrong when it comes to dining out. Forgot, sorry!

HOW can it be "ME" when I give *EXACT* INSTRUCTIONS, even times given TYPED OUT ORDERS even?

At times, I have problems with just adding ONE fucking ass side of ranch with ONE FUCKING ASS appetizer. It's pathetic and sad, it really is. I ORDER it correctly and they most of the times don't compare their written orders to the food or they are too lazy to even TRY to remember what I said.

HOW can it be "ME", when I order correctly?

"So you have no idea if you are ordering correctly, you are just assuming that you are, and operating under that assumption you are feeling justified in your constant rage against waitresses. You are treating them as if you are the one ordering correctly and everyone else in the world is incorrect. Sorry, but that's not the way the world works ( ... )
