What? Why?

springtime4me December 28 2010, 20:27:28 UTC
Because I have to.

Thinking like that is just letting the town win!

But the town is right in this case. Please don't worry about it, Kay.

As a doctor, I would advise against suicide~ However I suppose certain injections or combinations of pills would be the least painful~

Unfortunately, all I have in here is a gun. And it's the most appropriate method, anyway...

relaxiamadoctor December 28 2010, 20:58:45 UTC
Why would you say that?

springtime4me December 28 2010, 21:07:23 UTC
Because it's how my original died...

[ Hmm. ]

Shot to the head, ideally CNS. You'll want to aim for the center of the head - which is to say a parallel point from the area between the bridge and the tip of your nose, on the side of the skull. Gun in the mouth leaves too much room for error, and can leave someone permanently disfigured, handicapped. Bullet to the side of the head is ideal.

Now I don't suppose there's much point in asking why.

R-right.... Side of the head, about level with the nose?

[He's a little taken aback by getting such a thorough response...]

Please don't worry about it, this is just something I have to do. As soon as I can work up the courage, anyway.

Thank you....

[ He doesn't think it's a particularly good idea, of course. But if someone IS going to go through with something of the like, he'd rather it WORKED than if it -- well, if it didn't. ]

Oh, no. You speak publicly on something of the like and you invite a whole plethora of questioning on the matter; I'm not so sure not worrying is an option, given how many people are here.

[ Which insinuates 'I'M not very worried,' yes, but he doesn't know the kid. ]

Whatever the reason, you're being an idiot.

You're probably right, but even if I didn't deserve this, the town didn't give me any other way to escape.

[ She had been trying to phase back into her usual cheerful self after being, well, buried alive, but this phonecall sends her mood right back into sudden annoyance. ]

Don't do it.

It's a foolish thing to do.

Maybe... but....

It's also a punishment. For thinking that I could put who and what I am behind me. And live my own life. No, this is exactly what I deserve...

No, spirits can't punish themselves. Or judge themselves. There's only one judgement, after death. And y'know, any soul should live out their life like they want to. Whoever's been telling you ya can't is wrong.

For most people, that is true... But I'm a clone. And I don't think I can escape the shadow of my original.
