What a great concept and so many loving details ♥
I especially loved the bit about Neville's gran helping in the library and Moody's nieces's mantra *LOL*

Thank you. I'm so glad you liked it. I'm wondering if Moody's niece will crop up in another fan fic now.

Oh, Neville! Oh, Colin! This is lovely, and I really like Colin's decision to stay as a ghost. Thanks so much!

You are most welcome. This was a fun fic to write once Colin jumped in.

Neville didn't only kill a snake! He defied Voldemort to his face and ran Dumbledore's Army all year! *hugs him*

Excellent characterizations of both Neville and Minerva (*hugs her too*). Colin as a ghost was brilliantly done. The scene with Dennis was so touching.

Thank you for an excellent story!

Thank you very much for your comments. I'm glad you liked it. And yes, Neville did much more than he thinks he did, but I think one of Neville's defining characteristics is his self-effacing humility, thus, he didn't do much according to him.

Lovely story - the structure you chose works really well to bring to life how Minerva and Neville miss Albus and Mum and Da respectively. And it allows the story to unfold at a gentle pace, mirroring the slow and steady work of reconstruction.

I enjoyed the juxtaposition of the two viewpoints, especially concerning Neville's surprise at Professor Sprout's 'neglect' of the greenhouses!

The presence of Colin's ghost was... appropriate. Of course he would jump up and continue taking photos during the battle. (And of course he'd surprise Hermione - loved that line!) His reunion with his brother was touching. It's good that he feels he belongs at Hogwarts - and a little sad that Neville doesn't, in the end. I suppose he has more ghosts of his own to lay to rest before he can return to teach.

I love Neville. When I get to write him, he leads me into such interesting places. Thank you for your review, and your beta read.
