This is so very sweet. I have to quote back at you the "I'm sure I shall manage it sooner than you'll manage 'Minerva,'" line - and also the whole exchange about not producing evil dark lords! It was just the right mix of serious and whimsy and very lovely.

What a lovely story. It reminded me of the day I signed the contract to teach at a school I'd gone to as a child. I have fond memories of my time as a teacher there, and I have no doubt that Neville has come "home" to the place where he belongs. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. Well done!

This is lovely. It is very readable, for one thing, a quality which is sometimes overlooked in gen fics. It communicated both Neville's emotions about leaving his old job and starting a new life, as well as Minerva's reticence and nostalgia. I really loved the way you portrayed them, and would be very interested in reading more about their relationship (not as a pairing, but I think they'd make amusing friends). Anyway, loved reading it :). Good job.

What a beautiful piece! You've taken two of my favourite characters here, and it's wonderful to see them interacting. I really feel you have Minerva down pat - her teacherly viewpoint is perfect, including the way she still, sort of, thinks of Neville (and even Severus?) as a pupil as well as a professor.
