*happy sigh*

This is perfect and so full of Neville love I want to pick my computer up and dance around the round with it for joy. I enjoyed so much how you showed Neville's transition from awkward, bumbling child - with the hint at the beginnings of his forgetfulness and slow start with magic. You picked all your scenes well for each year, and I was intrigued by the idea that Neville might have figured out about his potential part in the prophecy.

Your story is amazing!

Thank you -- glad it worked for a Neville fan. :) I'm not sure Neville would have figured out that he might have been involved, but it fit for the sake of this story ...

Oh, Neville! What a charming story and a charming transformation, and feels so very true to Neville, too!

I enjoyed this! It had never before occurred to me that the Lestranges might have gone after Frank & Alice because Neville might have fit the prophecy. That horrible burden of guilt adds real depth to the story. I also like how you explained Neville's memory problems and his late show of magic. This is the Neville I always wanted to read about. Great work!

Thank you. Neville fitting the prophecy was the only reason I could think of for them expecting the Longbottoms to know something -- or at any rate, Bellatrix and co would presumably have known that both boys and their dates of birth were of interest to Voldemort, and thus the parents might know what happened at Godric's Hollow.

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it, and the little references -- I saw Neville and Dumbledore as the firat two requested characters and went from there, although it turned out to be more about Neville in particular, and when the two of them started talking Harry's role seemed to become important. :)
