Is it just me?

So. I was wondering...do your friends and family know about your "life" on the internet? Well I mean for those of you who have personal sites, fansites, or fanlistings etc...do you let your friends know about your sites or anything. Or do you only let certain people know, or none at all? I don't know, it's kind of odd because many of my friends don ( Read more... )

I totally know what you mean!

Part of me, likes the fact that I have this special space all to myself, that I don't have to share with anyone else. But when I write something I'm really proud of, or something to that effect I'd like to be able to share it with friends or family. But then that fear sets in that they'll laugh, and make fun, and say that I'm weird. And who wants your supposed loved ones, to openly ridicule something you care about? I don't, you probably don't either.

Somtimes I think its ok to just keep certain things to yourself, or only share it with one other person. It stays an escape that way.

But who knows I could just be babbling fool:)

Hi, I found your journal through oth_icons, and I totally know what you mean about not telling people. I actually do tell pretty much everyone, and almost all of my friends and family think I'm weird for it. In some ways I kinda wish I hadn't told people, but I also think it would be really hard to keep it a secret.

I'm gonna friend you; I hope you don't mind. :)

Well guess what... your secret internet life isn't so secret anymore!!! :) I managed to stumble onto this and when I saw the username and all of the One Tree Hill content, I was positive that I knew who it was. I don't think you're weird for having a "life online", I am the same way! I'm not planning on telling you where to find any of my stuff though... lol. None of my friends really know about it and I plan to keep it that way. I understand why you spend hours online posting and making fanart and stuff, to some people (like us for example) a life on the internet is a fun thing, we can go around and find ways to keep ourselves occupied and everything, but other people think it's sooo weird to have a "life online". They think that were all detached from society and stuff, but fail to realize that it's real people were talking to online, not some computer. Oh well, hopefully they will become enlightened soon enough! As for your art... do you have this put up anywhere else? This stuff is pretty good, if you haven't already done it then ( ... )
