That stuff is so scary... I really hope it never comes to what you're talking about. Can you imagine being a normal kid amongst a bunch of conditioned/perfect ones? As if growing up isn't awkward enough.
What really bugs me is that people will turn to science to explain why someone is gay, but something silly like 75% of Americans don't believe in evolution. It just goes to show you people are pretty strange sometimes... :(

i think if science actually progresses to the point where you can choose to genetically engineer your child, it's going to become less about "pro-choice vs pro-life"--it'll become much more of a gray area. like right now, i have the same stance as you: i don't think someone should have a baby if they're unready, or the victim of rape. however, i think in the future it could become less "women's rights", because if it's a married couple, the guy's gonna want to have a say as well. i think the gray area will come because its a case by case scenario. like down syndrome, for example--my aunt has down syndrome, and she's had a great life so far because my grandma was able to handle raising her (along with 4 other kids). but if it was someone who wasn't willing to properly care for and raise a child with down syndrome, is it better that the child isn't born at all?

its a scary world, tay ... but for the record, id keep my gay child. but id avoid moving to like, kansas. just to make it easier on my kid : )
