AMD is selling the DTV division to Broadcom, a company whose main products are in DTV space. This seems like a good thing for our business unit, and I hope that it's a good fit for us going forward - better than AMD was for DTV

Oh, HR and I are going to be pals until they can tell me what benefits plan I need to work within for the next few months. I'll put them on speed dial. It'll be awesome. ;)
I hope that they can just tell us the dates now, but I think that took a while last time.
It sounds like I need to work out Broadcom's benefits ASAP. I only hope that they've got their act together enough to talk to me about it soon. It sounds like we'll have offer letters within a month to make it all official. Salaries will be the same, but the benefits will change when we close - just as if we were all being hired after quitting the other company en masse.
