... I'd say that the person who adapted The Three Musketeers to the silver screen (for Disney, mind you) never even read the book. The most memorable thing about the Disney Three Musketeers movie is watching an absolutely -miserable- Kiefer Sutherland before he got his career turned around...you feel positively awful for the guy.

And I'm reminded of Bob's old quote about the film adaptation of The Bourne Identity - Saying that the movie version of the Bourne Identity is "based on" the book is like saying that the Biblical book of Numbers is "based on" the phone book.

That's another good example. The movies of the Bourne books bear very little resemblance either. Maybe Hollywood can't read.

And I like the Disney version, actually. *laughs* It's pretty fun for what it is. It's the lack of faithfulness that I find interesting.

I thought "I, Robot" did a very good job of capturing the essence of the novels. It didn't really follow the book plot wise, though. It was still a good movie though.
