In a short while I shall be going up the East Inlet trail to see some natural beauty. Then I've got night desk at 5. Sounds like a wonderful day. The visitation today was so good. So good. There were tons of people. There was a line around the corner of the room for 2 hours straight. It was wonderful to see how many people knew and cared about dad. Dad's spirit was so full there that it was like he was just there with all of us. Dad died Tuesday evening around 6. I got home yesterday night, late. There wasn't much that could've been done differently. Mom and Linda were right there with him and he was at home in bed. I love it here. Everything about it. I can't even fit it all in. And now my heart is breaking that I must leave. I will be home by tomorrow evening. Dad is not well and the doc said I should come home. My heart is not yet breaking for dad. It will have plenty of time for that later. Well, I've done so much in the last week or so that it's hard to keep track of it all. I've worked really hard, hiked a couple trails, drank with fellow staff, made some good connections.
