Oh well..I wasn't give up on you totally or per se..but..more on the hope that..will there ever be a bit of hope for them.
But make no mistakes..you (always) wrote beautiful fic there!

But since you're making a sequel..I'll take it even if there will be just a "little bit" of happiness for these two..

*sniffle* Poor Iker. :( Wonderfully written, though. You've captured his desperation perfectly, and it's incredibly contagious! I've read fic about this scene already but the author followed a different path with it, and I really like your interpretation of it, no matter how sad it is, no matter how much the thought of sad!Iker breaks my heart. *pets him*
