What I've learned from SOC 150: Japanese first grade seems way cooler than American first grade. American first graders don't get to sing about the banana land. American first graders aren't friends with the monkey, the bear, and the lion who all, by the way, eat bananas. American first graders don't get to run to the banana land.

That is the plan. High school students are all much larger than I am, so I fear the amount of influence I would actually wield over them. What about you, aren't you almost done with the program and/or already finished? Are you teaching high school?
