We had two boring Ikea lamps with rice paper shades. Now one is fancy!

The tools for the job! I used Stitch Witchery to hem the top of the lampshade and the seam down the middle. The iron made the fabric nice and not wrinkled and it also, well, attached the Stitchy stuff.

So I read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Sunday. I was all impressed with myself (read it in about 3 hours) until I read the "world champion" speed reader read the whole book in 45 minutes. Geez, makes me look like a pokey turtle ( Read more... )
