OK, let me get this straight...

So this whole Christmas deal includes having a tismas tree in the house, decorated with ormaments and prilly tismas lights. The tismas tree is a great place to stash the cookie cutters and various other things, like the ormaments I pull off the branches. I get to paint ormaments for damma and bapa. I get to eat frosting. Then we get to watch snoopy

Only just! Very soon, when all the doors on the avencalendar are open and you've had a big sleep and woken up to find everybody's really happy and they even might let you have a sweetie before breakfast, they let you rip up all the paper on those boxes and make lots and lots of noise and play with new toys! It's great! And you can kiss everybody and eat roas'tatoes and CAKE!

What's a present? Are they better than cookies?

Well, my kids think that they are *much* better than cookies. They come in colorful paper, which you get to tear off. After you've torn off the paper, you will find out what type of present it is. Sometimes a present is a toy, somethimes it is clothes, sometimes it is a boo, and sometimes it is a video. So after you've discovered what it is, you can play with it, wear it, read it, watch it... whatever. And sometimes presents come in boxes. Those can be fun to play with too.

I have been saying Pilly Tismas in my head all day today (there were pilly tismas trees in Target, and pilly tismas decorations at the mall, and pilly tismas lights on the houses......)
