I thought it'd more dire emergencies, honestly. I know two people who had pipes burst within a few weeks of closing, so the little stuff is really surprising me. Blrgh. Yeah, I think I might as well just buy stock in Home Despot and Lowe's at this rate.
I hope we get a/c soon too. 90 today and tomorrow. Yuck.
This applies even if you by new or build yourself. In the little house the plumber crossed the lines in the bathroom and we had hot water in the toilet.
One more week and you enter the "come anytime" zone! Good luck and enjoy the last couple weeks where the baby is (somewhat) easily carried everywhere you go.
Ooh, that makes me feel better actually, although how did you find out your toilet was full of hot water - wait, no, I don't want to know. :)
Hahah, I know I keep being like "almost 36 weeks! almost any time! Come on baby!" The discomfort really sneaks up on you. I felt like I was handling it until suddenly I really, really wasn't.
And there"s so many changes those last couple weeks as your body gets ready to deliver that it isn't surprising that it can go from "I'm handling it" to "I AM DONE!" almost overnight. Tristan came early enough (two weeks) that I didn't quite reach that point, but I was certainly there the last little bit with Kelhan!

SO. TRUE. I'm seriously wondering if I can list Home Depot as a dependent on my taxes.
hopefully you get AC soon :( i was so excited about mine and it's been a cold, chilly, rainy summer here in Oregon.
