To set the stage- this was One of the best things we did all last year. - (I would say THE Best thing)  You park in a gravel lot- (here in ne mpls anyway) and follow a crowd of people past free starbucks hot cocoa and people giving you tiny candy canes - delish in the cocoa, the kids ride a silly little barrel train, deliver food to the food bank

Did you get there earlier than the start time, or did you just show up at the beginning of the hour?

I'd heard about this and decided not to do it, but now that you've posted about how wonderful was, I'm reconsidering that decision. but we would probably do the St. Paul one, as it is earlier . . .

We got there about 830 last year (for the 9pm show). I get misty (cause I am freaky emotional girl) just thinking about how lovely it was last year. It was misty snowing and cold and the music was really great- put me in the spirit. I can only hope the beauty will be close to the same this year- because truly I haven't had a holiday experiene quite like that one since childhood.
