My car was stolen

Jan 27, 2006 08:42

I was leaving my house at 6 am (I was going to do overtime) and I walk out to my car...no car. Big empty spot in the driveway where my car used to be. I'm sitting there thinking there's got to be some other explanation, but knowing all the while, that there isn't ( Read more... )

There is no feeling in the world worse than when someone steals from you. The feeling of violation is impossible to shake for a long time, and even once you've shaken it, it'll creep back now and then. The important thing is that they didn't steal it while you were in it, you weren't carjacked or anything more traumatizing like that. I'm sorry about your car. I sure hope they find it. :(

really? Everyone? I knew it was a commonly stolen car, but I didn't realize it was THAT common...especially with a car alarm and everything...how many people are we talking here? Did they ever get their cars back?

i had my honda (accord) stolen this year, too, from in front of a house in one of the nicest neighborhoods in denver--go figure. amazingly, whoever took it must have just been joyriding because the police found it abandoned a few days later, only about 40 miles from where it was stolen. they messed up my ignition and took my stereo and cds, but that was it. so, don't give up hope! maybe you'll get it back with little damage, and then it can just be a funny story and not a major pain in the ass. good luck!

1997 accord...it's not in great condition, either, and it has bumper stickers all over the back--so i'm not sure what they wanted with it. oh, well.
