I think that last ones a bit harsh, whether they're a fully functional replacement for real relationships or not, they're probably what stopped me topping myself in highschool.

That precedent thing is scary.

The photo of the new leader of Al Qaeda makes me think of Santa Claus.

He may look like Santa, but I bet we see him more than once a year.

As for the girlfriend one, I guess it depends on how you define girlfriend. Whatever keeps you going is cool.

1. They needed a new face to point at.

2. Highly disturbing to be sure.

3. LDRs work for some, but only-online girlfriend/boyfriends are pretty silly. It is one of the more harmless silly things kids do on the internets, though, so I don't pay it too much mind myself!

I don't pay it much mind either, but I found the whole "can't spell..." thing to be amusing.

I'm slightly confused; did the court say it was actually okay for the police to go in without knocking, or just that the evidence wouldn't be thrown out? I generally thought throwing out the evidence was a bit silly, but that the police involved should be fined and/or jailed for unlawful entry or something :P

If the evidence isn't going to be thrown out, why would the police knock?
