1) Random weather of randomness is random. It rained all night and most of the morning. Then it snowed for about an hour. Then it started raining again. Now its sunny outside. #6 I understand what that's like. The grocery store we like is in Buffalo and we only get there roughly once a month if not less. :( Only international foods we can find in the area is Polish (because there is a high population of Poles in WNY). If we want stuff from the UK or any place else in Europe we have to drive 90 miles. :P

Yeah, it is such a pain getting used to new grocery stores. When I moved to NY from MD, I missed my Safeway. We have TOPS Markets up here and they SUCK. I love Wegman's but that's the one that's in Buffalo.

You sound like my sister. She loves sharp cheddar and used to be able to get little individually wrapped bars of it but no longer can find it. As for me, I like Brown Cow maple yogurt and can't find it here. I think I managed to find it once in Buffalo. :P

With regards to the smoothies..have you tried Kefir smoothies? The only brand I'm familiar with is Lifeway. If your grocer has it, it should be located in the dairy case.

I've never heard of Kefir or Lifeway. The only yogurt smoothies they have in the stores here are the Kroger store brand and a few kinds from Danon, but not the type that I prefer. :/ I'll check the dairy case the next time I go to the store, but I don't recall seeing anything other than milk the last time I was there. I guess I'm just gonna have to resign myself to the fact that I won't be able to have my mixed berry smoothies anymore. :-(
