I feel like all my traveling smarts have flown out the window this morning

Ugg, I feel like such a ditzy klutz right now. When I went through security, I forgot to take out my ID. When I got into the line at the metal detectors, I just followed the people in front of me, who got into the wrong line so we had this TSA woman talking to us like we were idiots. And because it's warm in FL but colder where I'm going, I'm ( Read more... )

OMG, I hate going through security--so much going on, so much to pay attention to to try to do "right" (or whatever "right" is on that particular day ...). Ugh. I feel for you.

I hope the rest of the trip went smoothly for you!

Yeah, security is such a pain. I only had one more ditzy moment before getting on the plane. They announced general boarding for a flight that had a number almost identical to mine (1997 instead of 1999), so I jumped up to get in line and on the plane. But when I got up to the gate, they were still dealing with passengers that qualified for "Pre-boarding." I was starting to get annoyed that they announced boarding before they were ready until I realized I had misheard the announcement. I felt like such a ditz, lol. But other than that, the rest of the trip went pretty smoothly. :-)

Eek, I feel so awful for you. I can imagine how stressful that must of been and it always seems like as soon as one thing goes wrong you get set off balance and everything just falls apart. Hopefully that was all the awkwardness over with at once and the rest of the trip will go without a hitch! Safe journey!

lol, yeah, its like a domino effect. One thing goes wrong, and then its like a chain reaction where everything I do leaves me feeling like a ditz. I only had one more awkward moment where I misheard an announcement. I thought they were boarding for my flight (#1999), but it turns out, they were boarding for flight #1997. I felt quite foolish when I realized my mistake. Other than that, the rest of my trip went very smoothly.
