M. Night Shyamalan is a fucking hack.
So, I just saw some casting photos for the Avatar: The Last Airbender live action movie.
I have an issue with the casting of two characters in particular: Sokka and Katara. This would be who they got to play the two characters, respectively:
Here are what they actually look like in the series:
Which leads me to my question: In what universe are these two white?
Seriously, would it have killed them to cast Native American Actors? (since that's what Sokka and Katara's cultural background and appearance are based on) How about East Indian? They could have at least cast a pair of lighter-skinned black or biracial people, for Christ's sake.
What little hope I had for this movie being anything other than a pile of crap is now gone.
