i did that with stephen king's dark tower books. i stopped reading book 4 in the middle b/c at the time he hadn't written any more. now he's finished the series (i think) and i don't want to read them...don't want it to be over. :(

Yeah, but if you stop at 6 (or even 4 or 5), you're left with a real downer.
