Occasionally very awesome food gets cooked in my apartment.

This is a potato thing where you bake potatos, and then hollow them out and make mashed potatos out of the insides in a separate bowl. Then you put the mashed part back inside the skin and bake them again with cheese and bacon and green onions.

Banana bread.

This is a chicken thing where I made up the recipe. First I made pesto, which I then put on top of pieces of chicken. I also put in a little bit of rasberry vinaigrette salad dressing. This was baked in the oven for about 25 minutes. Then I put mozzarella cheese on top and baked it for 10 more minutes.

WHAT ELSE SHOULD I COOK!?!

------------------------------------------

Today I took my first exam in Analysis (Math 507). I was almost as nervous as when I had to take oral exams in Japanese class at Kansai Gaidai. At least in math classes you don't have to look your teacher in the eye and tell him you have no clue what the answer is. I remember when Megan MacCarthy-san cried in the oral exam we had for the final in Japanese 4. The classes we took as exchange students were laughably easy, but those four oral exams we had to take over the course of a year were like punishment for the lack of homework and any kind of meaningful tests the rest of the time.

It's weird being back in a world where day-to-day school is actually difficult. Topology homework due on Friday, Math Expositions paper due on Monday, Tuesday Creative Writing needs another couple of pages, and Thursday will be Analysis homework. Yeah. Anyone remember when I said my job was "wasting time?" That sure feels like a lifetime ago...
