So, my family's fostering a dog at least for a bit, starting tomorrow. Possibly permanently. It's an American Eskimo. Which keep it or not, means we've maxed on the acceptable number of dogs--3.
I know what kind of dog this is, but seeing it written down puts the image into my head of an Alaskan Inuit man kiping out in your spare downstairs room... "Mom, can we keep 'im? Can we please?!"
Heh. Yeah, it does sound that way. Although, I hope I never call an Inuit a dog...
His previous owners weren't super great to him and decided to give him to the pound, but asked if we wanted him instead. So, we're either keeping him or taking care of him until we can find him a guaranteed home rather than risk having the shelter euthanize him (We have no clue if he'll mix with the other dogs, since he's 2 years old and had a semi-wonky life.). We're going to call him Cyrus in the meantime.
