Summary: After last night’s episode, I needed to write something that would give me some hope for these two. Also I still kind of wanted to slap some sense into Ben and I had to change that at least in my head cannon.

I liked this, I think it makes sense for Ben. I saw the look of disbelief when she said that she now realized things were over. I hadn't given it too much thought, because my own heart was breaking, but I think this is a neat insight into Ben's head.

Thanks! I'm glad this didn't seem too off the wall. I know other people thought he was surprised because he didn't think they were over, but then why would be be acting so sad all this time. I don't know. There are a million theories about these two crazy kids, but I think Mike Schure is the only one that knows the truth. :)

I like how you explained Ben's reaction to Leslie's comment to just realizing it was over as him realizing she was hurting too and wanted him back...not that she was just now realizing it was over. Does that make sense? I feel like that didn't make sense.

That scene hurt my heart.

I definitely read this ages ago, but it's so sweet. An even as a piece rationalizing Ben's thoughts during this scene, it works (and it could help explain why he was okay with trying to be friends with her at the start of The Treaty). Thanks!
