Does humanism necessarily need to preclude god? From the static definitions the answer would be yes. Why, then, can the two philosophies not unify? There seems to be this unavoidable compartmentalization and distinction between every thought and way of life. What's wrong with combining seemingly disparate things? Your vocabulary lost me... honestly, i have no idea what you just wrote. but i'd like to clarify, probably something you already are aware of: humanists don't ALL not believe in god. Some humanists are theists, some are not. Some are more like Reconstructionists, as in, they believe in a formless God, a God that is just a... well, a feeling, maybe?
