Current residence: Conneticut - her family moved to London when she was 13.
What kind of wand does your character possess? N/A - she's not magical
What job in the community does your character hold? Freelance Photographer. She travels the world shooting for various magazines, etc.
Financial status(lower, middle, upper-class): Upper-class at present. Her job pays around middle to upper-middle, but her husband comes from a very wealthy family and owns a large newspaper.
What OWLs/NEWTs/equivalent did your character receive? Mari was an average student, excellent in her art and english classes. She also did quite well in history, but her math and science skills left quite a bit to be desired. She went to Uni after high school and majored in art photography where she graduated with a 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.
Describe your character's strengths (both magically and personality-wise. Please note that Animagi and Metamorphmagi, etc. are extremely rare and you MUST have Mod Permission.): No magical strengths, obviously :P Personality wise, Mari is intelligent and create. She's a skilled artist and photographer and a great mother. Her children is the most important thing in the world to her and she would die rather than see them hurt. She's not afraid to take risks, especially for her kids or her career.
Describe your character's flaws/weaknesses: She is absolutely impulsive. She jumps into things without thinking a lot of the times and even when she does think, she doesn't always let the possible consequences stop her. She's stubborn and moody and quick to anger and she can really hold a grudge.

Is your character Muggle born, a half-blood, or a pureblood? Explain it. Muggleborn. Not a drop of magic in her at all.
Character Background/History/Family: Mari was born in a small town in Connecicut where she lived until she was 13. AT that time, her father got a job overseas and the family moved to London where she has lived ever since. She worked as a barmaid while she was a Uni student and it was during this time she met and had a tumultuous affair with Richard Pitt. The affair yielded a son - jeremy_pitt - who Richard convinced her to give up and let him raise. Lacking the resources, she caved under his pressure and agreed to the arrangement and didn't see either of them until just recently when she ran into Richard at Hogwarts.
Soon after Jeremy was born, Mari met and quickly married Anthony Sawyer. She was pregnant again not long after Jeremy was born and she and Tony were married. That child is bryantsawyer. She has three other children with Tony - 15 year old Sammy, 11 year old precociousizzy, and 8 year old Kenny.
For her part, she did love Tony at first, but Tony was too in love with himself and his career to ever truly return the sentiment. She's long since fell out of love with him, but she stays for her children, to give them a better life.
Mari now has a rather lucrative career as a freelance photographer. She loves her job, especially for all the traveling it allows her to do. She is also trying to rebuild a relationship with her son Jeremy, who she has reunited with for the first time since his birth.

"You bastard," she retorted. "You arrogant, self-absorbed bastard. I've no desire for anything to do with you or your precious world."
Without another word she turned her attention back to Bryant, mentally facepalming as she realized she'd have to explain.
"I'm sorry, Bry," she said quietly, "I.. you shouldn't have to find out like this." He shouldn't have to find out at all. She gave him a look that begged for forgiveness.
"Jeremy is your brother."

She knows the world exists because of her children at Hogwarts and a recently rekindled.. soemthing.. with Richard Pitt (Jeremy's dad), but none of them have told her about Voldemort or any of the badness. If she did know, however, she would of course be on the side of good.
