Sour Cream Softies

When I was a kid, my mom used to make these cookies called Sour Cream Softies.  I loved them.  I used to ask her for them all the time.  When I got older, we baked them together.  Baking "softies" with my mom is one of my happiest childhood memories.

The other day, out of the blue, I remembered them.  The memory just came out of nowhere... one
