So, now that American Idol is over, life is going back to normal.  It's actually kind of quiet.  It's amazing how much time was involved in planning weekly watch parties.  It was a lot of work.  But Kris won, so it was worth it

It's okay, Melenie. It's really okay. It's okay to fall down into the gutter part of life - and I know this because of the amount of time I've spent there myself (painfully chronicled throughout my journal). The thing about hope is, it always perseveres. It's that feeling that you don't know what's waiting around the corner. It could be something unbelievably magical. It could be a new employment opportunity. It could be a call to help someone who's hurting in ways you can't even imagine. But it's there and it's enough to keep pushing through the heaviness. You have been created for so many purposes, most of which you probably won't ever see. But I know that one of them is to shed the light you almost cannot help shine - it's in you and it's evident, even when you feel low. So keep hanging on, sugar. This too shall pass.
