i haven't seen a twdrama since.... hi my sweetheart? holy CRAP. (although i rewatched autumn's concerto last year). also i did waking love up but that's technically chinese so. idk you know how it is, it's getting harder and harder to love dramas. ;\ i think i'll rewatch mars at some point relatively soon? i seem to be going in for the dark, cathartic, soul-glutting type.

oh hey, i got up to halfway with scent of a woman before ditching. i loved it so much, mostly in okinawa, and the characters are truly a breath of fresh air but i want more of that, i want more of her living with freedom, instead of being bogged down by mundane angst. the final straw was the stuff with wilson - i'm glad it wasn't dragged out forever but what the fuck. he's embarrassed bc he found the ring attached to his ass? HE DIDN'T HAVE TO SAY HE FOUND IT ATTACHED TO HIS ASS, he could just say he found it. jesus. >:c also saekyung is one of the most hateful other girls i've ever seen, her every facial expression makes me want to punch her lights out.

Haha, yeah the good poignant parts of Yeon Jae's (u know I had too look that up, right? Me and Korean names are not on good terms) struggles are sometimes overshadowed by aggravating makjang elements and kdrama tropes. But I still adored the Okinawa parts so much...Especially that scene when she comes upon a couple dancing tango on the beach? That was A+++ cinematography. And I wanted to stay with Yeon Jae until the end of her journey. Which was, btw, not to spoil you, quite different from what I imagined! ^^

lmao, i'm pretty good with names, which is why the fact that i called hyunsoo 'kyungsoo' has been bothering me all day. ;\ it wasn't even the makjang-y stuff, it was my intelligence being insulted by the wilson thing that i couldn't see past. okinawa was magical and wonderful. i've given up so you can spoil me! i knew beforehand that she lives, i'm not the biggest fan of spoilers but i think it's basic to know about deaths going in. she was great but i loved ji wook (ok that i had to look up) so much; you know what i really loved was how angry and nervy he was/became/she made him. like when he saw her with the doc at junsu's fanmeeting, and he looked jealous but more than that he looked really angry.

the tango i saw way before bc everyone yelled about it while it was airing, so i was a little underwhelmed by that particular tango scene (the first one with the hands, O M G), but the bit after, when he says "how are you going to stop your feelings when you're like this?" YIKES.
