i'm halfway through s3 of bsg. it's not as good as the previous two, it's off and it's making me sad, but the boxing ep was some godsdamn perfect tv oh my God. my bamber boner has cooled considerably, my love for starbuck continues to thrive, except that i can see things tanking and for something that was so wonderfully clear-sighted in the way it ( Read more... )

Yeah, it's tragic the way BSG goes downhill after the New Caprica arc--S4 is a hot mess and I don't even know what's going on with the finale. So you should probably brace yourself. Not saying there's not still some good stuff in store, because there is, but...don't expect things to actually make sense from here on out. For a show that was so consistently perfect for the first two seasons, the last two are quite a disappointment.

(Is it bad for me to tell you that? I hope not. I just feel like it's better to be prepared with stuff like that.)

no, it's not bad. i'd heard about s4, i just didn't think s3 would be this sloppy. but the boxing ep was so perfect, clearly they still had it in them, WHY. i've skimmed the bsg series bible they released and ron moore was so assured in the planning of it. damndamndamn.

That's the most frustrating thing of all! We know they were perfectly capable of doing absolutely amazing things, so when they don't...it's enough to make you pound your head against a wall!
