The family support officer has just come around to ask how I am which has of course now made me sit here crying my eyes out in front of mum, which in turn upsets her. She then spoke in a very patronising way to my mum, saying things like 'oh, I bet you were full of life before this

How did you keep from slapping her?

Let's just say it's a good job my dad wasn't on shift when she came in. I think my dad would be banged up in Letchworth police station on assault charges.

She's on reception duty right now. She put on her best sympathy face when I walked through the door... again, so close from being slapped.
