Really, it's the truth.  I mean nothing is really new, if I talk to you on a regular basis, however for those of you not lucky enough to be on-line enough to receive my texty goodness, or hear my sultry voice via phone or in person.  Here's the low down.

Yeah it is, sadly you can't really get over it. You can keep it under control, but generally you are stuck watching your diet and sugar levels for the rest of your life. You never know when your body will build an insulin resistance again.

A while back I found out I was "pre-diabetic" (whatever that means.) The doctor told me that if I were really good and lost a ton of weight that I might be able to get to where I don't have to take meds. That is what I meant when I said "get over it." I do hope you're feeling better though.

Ah yeah that normally means you are on the verge. What happens when you become diabetic is your body builds an insulin resistance and/or your pancreas makes less insulin, so thus your the sugar created by your liver can't be broken down as well. Most people who are on insulin have almost non-functional pancreas, Type 2's generally have decreased pancreas function, but not to the point where you need additional insulin. At least that's my understanding. Anyway I am feeling better it's just something thats wierd to cope with

My diabetic uncle lost part of 'eir leg thanks to that. It was really weird, the uncle didn't even think to go to a doctor when the foot started turning gross... Don't be dumb like that. :P
