My little magnet rejected. :-(

The scab came off and I could see the magnet poking out a little bit so I pulled it out the rest of the way.

I'm bummed, but determined. Round 2 will be soon...
I'm not looking forward to getting sliced again. Dammit.

Looks like the first big hurdle is over. The magnet hasn't popped right out and the skin is healing over it just fine. One concern was the thin coating being damaged during implant. If that were the case I think there would have been an infection by now, so hooray ( Read more... )

I'm close to getting this magnet implant project underway.
Since you can't just up and buy the implant, I'm looking into making it. I got in touch with a fella that made his own titanium encased magnet. He's had his under his finger for 2 years with no problems. He's willing to help me make a couple. :-D

Now to find a shop to do this in... anyone
