This fic is so sinister in its own way. Creepy and dark and a brilliant fit for the prompt. Oh Alex. There is no hope for him!

That was excellent! Extremely scary, especially the way it builds up to what is really going on, that Alex isn't a prisoner of his enemies, but of what he thought was his 'own' side, and why...

I loved the relationship between Alex and Yassen, and Alex's brave refusal to trap Yassen - and what happens to him was just realistic enough (politically speaking) to make me furious, especially because he comes dangerously close to mental breakdown. I was so glad that Yassen came to free him, and really hope that they'll find a happier future together.
