"Am… I dead too?" Alex swallowed, willing his mind to clear.

"Not yet," responded Yassen.

That opening almost killed me! And then the pace just picked up and up and up. I didn't want to breathe during the torture scene; too delicious, too raw, too emotional! Yassen and Alex were both spot on. Alex STILL doesn't truly understand Yassen. Maybe he's too young ... maybe he's now growing up! Torture, sex, mindfuckery = MUCH LOVE!

OMG that was bloody *perfect*! I don't think I have words to express how much I loved it!

The torture scene was exquisite extremely vivid, and I loved how we stumble into action right away, figuring out what's going on alongside Alex. I absolutely adored his "Am… I dead too?" Yassen being so very casual about causing Alex pain (not just when he has to, even when he could get away with not doing it) that I wasn't sure whether his 'it's the nature of life' is at the bottom of it, or whether he might actually enjoy it, knowingly or unknowingly... I adore fics that let me speculate about motive
