I hate that the first one has to be suggested in that way ("mother," "maternal," etc -- hello, we're electing a president, not a new mommy!). But aside from that, I really don't know if that will ever truly work because it's such a lose/lose situation for women in politics, but "compassionate yet steely" would be good.

I really like the third suggestion, though. That speech where she talked about bipartisanship watering things down was the point where I went from neutral but slightly disliking Clinton to still neutral but liking her more. It might be a risk with people who are Independent or very moderate but if you frame it right I think it could pay off.

i don't know if she can do it. i feel like the media was foaming at the mouth from day 1 to rip her to shreads. the last time the media was this in love with a guy we ended up in Iraq.

i'm so...concerned. i read more and more everyday about how our economy is in the toilet. i think people are going to be shocked when Obama won't be able to snap his fingers and change things. the US is going to be hurtin' for a very, very, very long time.

I'm rooting for her, but the American people haven't exactly had a good record with rationality and good judgment. (I saw you were in the Edwards camp, so was I.)

Oh, and also, commenting to say that I friended you even though you probably don't remember...It's Sher from like a bazillion years ago.

Even though I'm only following this via CNN ('cause, you know, the German media isn't reporting too much about it besides the results), I have my doubts. I don't know, anything can happen. I was sure Bush would never ever be re-elected.
