With the first day of the 2004 Internet Developments Conference now over, I thought it would be apt to pen a word or two regarding the whole affair

Welcome to pain. Those conference days were perhaps the most painful of my life at uni. Even writing my entire dissertation in two weeks outranked attending that.

oh, and I thought my presentation was pretty good too ;( At least a couple of random people told me it was good :P

It wasn't too bad at first - I was 3rd out so people were pretty much paying attention for me, but we all soon nodded off after the Nth display of social ineptitude. It's a shame I missed yours last year - I'm sure it would have been mighty entertaining, especially with Angus there ready to argue his heart out. It's a shame he's not around anymore; some of these people could have done with some hardcore questioning to jolt them out of their fuckwittage.
