This issue is the one that has been one all our minds lately.  Bad juju in the works, and no one wants to even talk about it - how sad.  Perhaps we'll worry more about campaign contributions for at least another week, then see what happens.

Sad indeed. Unfortunately, the Brits no longer have the will, the stomach or even the personnel to "fuck them up"--or even fight back in a tiny situation where a few well placed shots might have thwarted the kidnappers' plan. It's tragic that the once great British navy now has its sailors--some of whom are evidently soft, pathetic fatso chicks--floating around unarmed in rubber dinghys in war zones and other dangerous places where they're easy prey to any local assholes who want mess with them and/or play hide (in plain sight...) the hostages. So now a little skirmish may turn into an international incident.

But what else is new? The repeated failure to deal with small problems, the unwillingness to face up to the challenges--face down the enemies so they know you're just not going to take any shit from them--typically leads to bigger problems; this is how the world's got to the crisis situation it's in now--in Iran and elsewhere. Each time "we" step back, "they" step forward; history--ancient and recent--teaches this lesson that "
