that's cool.

and that's really about all the news i have.  my life currently consists of flying, working out, cooking, and reading, all in varying quantities, but all in seemingly high quality.  unfortunately, it's difficult to relate quality.  i keep talking with with friends to catch up on the phone and realizing

Congrats. I'm on a safety board with one of your classmates, coincidentally. Know any BIT students at Laughlin?

thanks for the thoughts. i actually know quite a few people at laughlin - hope they're impressing you and not disappointing you. good luck with the investigation...i find that i am more interested in that aspect of the AF as time goes on, so maybe i'll find myself working in safety someday.

They're a good bunch of people... it's a small Air Force so I keep running into people I know, although when you're a safety investigator you don't want to compromise yourself in a way that looks bad.

If you want to do safety, let your boss know when you get there... it's perfectly okay to mention in passing "I'm interested in Flight Safety after I'm done upgrading." It's a good job (that can be a shit ton of work, but you don't seem to mind such things) that is immensely rewarding.

So I went for a long run today (or tried to)... I was running outside the fence-line and came up on a gate. I didn't want to jump it (this being Texas, or maybe even Mexico) so I called it quits at six miles. What's a good long run around here? Know anyplace shaded?
