Jos is crawling on a chair. Mom found that to be a problem. I didn't. Oh well.

Students come back tomorrow. I am not nearly ready. Wish me luck.

Tell them that they have to go sometime. If they piss you off you will make that time now. Make sure you use the twitch in one eye when you say it and then follow up with something positive and uplifting and smile.

Ok, the bell rings and the kids are silent because they don't know anyone yet...

You walk in with a paddle in your right hand and your books in the other. You have a monocle squinted in one eye. Your combat boots clomp on the tile floor, slow motion, as you look around the room, making eye contact with every staring student. They thought they heard you were a nice guy...

Then, when you've obviously got everyone's attention, you introduce the paddle with a blank face. "This... is called the Attitude Adjuster. (pause pause pause) You don't want to know the Attitude Adjuster."

I don't think you'll have any problems after that.
