I just went shopping with Adonis. We were productive. I got Tom Shippey's "Road to Middle Earth" and Tolkien's "Roverandom"...along with a gift or two for a few friends. So all is well ( Read more... )

"Roverandom" was actually the first Tolkien book I had the pleasure of reading (you'd think it would be The Hobbit..but no)

Rhythm huh? :) I'm envious. I have none. I only dance to make people laugh...its a sad sight I tell you. 13years of ballet and NO talent.

I wonder what I would dance like if I hadn't taken the ballet...*mind drifts into a very dark place*

I'm glad your having fun. :) *sends good wishes right back*

Tom Bombadil is no dwarf!!! And...Goldberry really isn't an elf...technically. She's more daughter of the river. They are both somewhat above and outside.... *realises what a dork she is, scampers off*

Yes, sweet. The Dwarf I spoke of was Grimli who would have to chop me for not bespeaking the Lady of Lothlorien the fairest one ;). And it is Goldberry's daughter of the River nature that I love so much :).

I will just have to show you why I love the Daughter of the River when you get back, by taking you to the river for splash splash fun. And mayhaps Grimli won't chop me as he never met Goldberry. And maybe that lesser deity with a faerie like disposition Tom will not mind me thinking his lady the fairest.
