Dear Yuletide Writer (aka my new favorite person),
Thank you so much for writing this story for me! The fact that you offered to write any one of these fandoms makes you inherently awesome and I can’t wait to read whatever you decide to write! Here is a little bit more about what I enjoy reading in fic before I get to the specific requests (and yes, I lifted this entire section shamelessly from last year's Yuletide letter).
Likes: character-driven stories, romance (I generally lean towards canon pairings as specified below), female friendships, slow burn UST, porn (if appropriate), backstory and missing scene fic, best friends who fall in love, banter and bickering. I lean towards a preference for happier/more hopeful endings. Female characters tend to be my favorites. I talk a lot about romance in my requests, but I love reading great gen and friendship fic as well.
Dislikes: misogyny, noncon or dubcon, major character death (you can use anything that’s already canon of course), character bashing, excessive embarrassment.

I’m the type of writer who likes more details rather than less when I’m writing a story for someone, so my requests generally reflect that. You can choose what you would like to take or leave based on what works for you. These are just some of my ideas, but they are certainly not the complete list of stories I would like to read for any of these fandoms. I know whatever you write is going to be great!
Request #1: American Girl - Samantha
Characters: Samantha Parkington, Gardner Edwards, Cornelia Edwards, Eddie Ryland
I really want to read about Samantha and her relationships with her family and friends! Especially something about Samantha as she grows up and explores the world and what's available to her. I would love to read about a potential romance between Samantha and Eddie if they ran into each other sometime in the future. I would also really enjoy something that explored Gardner and Cornelia's relationship.
FYI, this is largely adapted from the request I made for fic corner over the summer.
Samantha was always my favorite of the American Girl dolls/books, so anything you wanted to write me about Samantha would be amazing. I have a particular interest in Samantha's future/Samantha as a young woman, but if you wanted to write something more in the timeline of the books, that would be really fun too.
As far as future stories I am interested in: I would absolutely love to read a story about Samantha running into her old neighbor Eddie Ryland again, only to discover that maybe there was a reason he used to tease her so much when they were kids. The focus could be on Samantha and Eddie themselves, or how Samantha reacts to the relationship and how it finally comes up with Uncle Gard and Aunt Cornelia. I've always liked the idea of an eventual romance between Samantha and Eddie, so it would be really fun to see that explored in any capacity!
Some of the other things I'd love explored include: How is Samantha influenced by Aunt Cornelia? Does she join the women's suffrage movement? Does she still become a debutante? What does she study in college and what does she want to do with her life as the world is changing around her? Does she travel and see the world? Does she continue painting and telling stories?
I'd also love a story that just looked at her familial relationships - with any and all of her relatives (Uncle Gard or Gard and Cornelia in particular!) and/or a story about Samantha (and friends?) as adventurous young adults in New York City around the time of WWI. (I should probably mention that in addition to being fascinated with the time period, I am also really into New York and its history.) Really, anything you want to write about Samantha's future would be a lot of fun for me to read.
If for some reason none of that is something you have an interest in writing, when I reread the books over this past summer, I was struck by Uncle Gardner and Aunt Cornelia, and I'm really interested in their relationship and their romance. How did they meet and how did they fall in love? How did taking in Samantha (and eventually Nellie and her sisters) change them and affect their relationship? I requested all four characters, but I would be very happy with a story just about Gardner and Cornelia (or Samantha and Eddie).
Request #2: Gallagher Girls Series - Ally Carter
Characters: Abby Cameron, Edward Townsend
The dynamic between these two was one of my favorite dynamics in the series, and they were definitely my favorite romantic ship. I would love to see that explored more, from their past to how they became a couple to how they deal with the revelations we got in United We Spy.
So, I have to admit, I really struggled with how to make this request because I WANT FIC ABOUT THESE TWO SO MUCH! But my ideas for what I wanted changed dramatically after United We Spy. I am so happy that they were canon because, well, I am who I am and they were my favorite romantic ship of the series, but I walked away feeling a little disappointed because the revelation that Townsend is Zach's father is such a huge thing and all we got was Abby being upset. Cammie remarks, "Oh, she'll get over it." And then we see them holding hands at graduation. Something this big deserves (needs, really) to be addressed, and I would love to see that happen. How does Abby deal with it? How does Townsend? How do they go from being upset at the situation (and Abby visibly upset with Townsend in the moments after the reveal) to them holding hands and apparently happy again. How does Zach himself play into any of this? (I would prefer Zach not be the focus of any story about this, but obviously he can come into play when/as needed given that he's obviously a big part of this too or if he needs to have a conversation with Townsend or even Abby.)
If you don't want to deal with this particular issue, though, I would LOVE to read about the history between Abby and Townsend. WHAT HAPPENED IN BUENOS AIRES? How did they become a couple, since that happened completely offscreen? Anything about what's happened in their relationship in the past or anything that happened off page during the series would be fantastic!
For this series, I should say that my other main ship interests are Rachel/Joe and Macey/Preston, so I would prefer that any potential story I get not write against either of those ships if possible.
Request #3: Kenzie-Gennaro Series - Dennis Lehane
Characters: Patrick Kenzie, Angela Gennaro
I really love Patrick and Angie together and would love to see more of that, whether it's them working on a case or something that focuses on their friendship and eventual romance.
I don't have anything specific in mind for this request, but do not take that as a sign that I want this less than the others. I fell in love with this series early this year, and one of the reasons I loved it so much was the relationship between Patrick and Angie and how that relationship developed over the course of the series. I would be interested in reading any story about them at any point in the series, or even pre-series or post-series. Or something that filled in some of the moments we missed out on in the gap between books five and six. For any story set in the future, please feel free to include Gabby as needed because I thought she was darling and really enjoyed her. Really, anything goes!
Request #4: Psy-Changeling - Nalini Singh
Characters: Sascha Duncan, Lucas Hunter, Nikita Duncan, Anthony Kyriakus
This is a request where you should not feel obligated to include all of the characters. It's essentially a request for the Duncan women and the men in their lives, but it could focus on the relationship between Sascha and Nikita, or be more focused on Lucas/Sascha or Nikita(/Anthony). I'm particularly interested in the mother-daughter bond and family ties in the PsyNet, but I would also love a story that focused on Sascha and Lucas's romance and Naya, or a story that focuses on Nikita and her relationship with Anthony (I ship them romantically, but their dynamic in general and how in sync they can be at times on the Council is really fascinating to me).
Pretty much what I said, that any of the above combinations would be fantastic. I fell hard for this series and the characters and the world building, and I just want more of it! Sascha and Lucas became one of my favorite couples and I really fell for the idea of Nikita and Anthony eventually becoming a couple as well, but even more than that, I grew more and more interested in the Duncan women and familial relationships (particularly the Duncan and Kyriakus families) in the PsyNet.
Some of the things I would love to read about include:
-Sascha and Nikita's relationship at any point in time, including what might happen in the fallout of Heart of Obsidian. Nikita can be so cold, but she knew her daughter's designation from the beginning and took steps in her own way to try to protect Sascha and never had any more children. She went through great lengths to obtain the book on the E-designation for Sascha. There's obviously a lot of complicated history there to explore. Has that changed any now that Sascha has Naya? What is Nikita really thinking?
-Sascha and Lucas together. Sascha adjusting to her new life. Stolen moments with no pack responsibilities. Sascha and Lucas working together. Gross domestic fic with Naya. Teaching their daughter the best of being both changeling and Psy (Lucas teaching Naya how to shift - vaguely inspired by this gif, Sascha discovering Naya's Psy abilities). Anything about them together would make me incredibly happy.
-Anthony and Nikita in general. How they deal with being parents of children who defected from the PsyNet. A story exploring how in sync they are with each other, in Council business or outside of it. The two of them dealing with the fallout of Heart of Obsidian. How a potential romance between them might develop. I'm fascinated by the idea of a Psy/Psy romance, and I think they would be a great way to explore what that might mean, especially since they are such powerful Psy and so entrenched in Silence. Backstory/pre-series fic about how they first met or how their relationship developed to the point where Kaleb is even observing how in sync they are in HoO.
FWIW, my other favorite couples from the series are Kaleb/Sahara, Walker/Lara and Mercy/Riley, and I adore Faith, the Kyriakus family, and the Lauren family. REALLY, though, I love everyone. Picking favorites is just a matter of degrees.
