I went to see my family yesterday. It was my mother's birthday and I wanted to see everyone before I go to the USA. Always a strange experience and yesterday was no different. Topic of discussion was my weight pretty much the entire time. I lost some weight but not a huge amount, and to them apparently it was extremely noticeable. Most of them

it sounds like your mum is one of "those moms", who can't help but be critical of their daughters no matter what...because that's what they equate with being concerned and loving their daughters. so..i guess you could just chalk it up to your mom loving you in her own twisted annoying way..lol. ;)

Russia has rednecks, too? I had no idea! Guess that kind of attitude's all over the place - too bad. I'd still love to visit Russia someday, though; guess I'll just have to hold off on doing anything too noticeably non-hetero :)
