Ahhh... Y'know, I feel the same way. But think of it this way, if you went to school and got your degree and everything, you'd be considered so much credible as an intellectual just because you got some fucking 8.5"x11" paper that declares you're smart. I think there are two planes that you're situation lies on. Your heart is probably in the right place with the anarchist group, but in only fulfills what you want now. If you got an "education", you'd be far more able to move in the revolutationary direction you'd like to head.

But then again, I'm drunk, and I'm too lazy to read what I just wrote. Just remember this: don't settle for nothing. If your interest lies in making a tremendous social/political change, you must do whatever it takes to help you make that change. A heart helps. In our day and age, a degree is even better (unfortunately).

Whatever. I'm toasted. Good luck!

straight As are nice. but they don't really mean a thing, you know? i do. i got them when i felt like it.

how about guerrilla style awareness? lots of issues today. when you're feeling frustrated by lack of action, maybe go out at night, plaster ads with stickers, or cars with flyers..... not talking eco-t*******ism or anything extreme, just a way to do things that will have at least a mental impact on others?

i may start featuring guest essays on http://www.wreckingboy.com/madworld/ if you ever have any you would like to edit over and get smooth, then send it to me, and if i like it, i'll post and link to you. just another thought. i'm sure there are many.

keep the faith. the world needs you and your passion and energy.

thank you. i do want to start writing essays more, polishing and reworking them until they pack an eloquent punch. i'm thinking about writing essays and finding online places to publish, building up a small portfolio and then pitching my skills for little bits of money...

and i do think i'm going to start a street art collective to redecorate and educate tucson to my liking:)

but yeah, i want to be on the dean's list but i also want to keep up a life that's fulfilling outside of school too (i know the key is to find a balance that's healthy).

(thanx for being an inspiration to me too. i still go back to your words sometimes when i'm seeking solace and redemption)
