I think that after I graduate high school (or during a summer during college maybe), I'd like to live in a U-Haul. I heard about it on TV a while ago. A single mother and her children had to do it because they were poor. I'd just do it because it's awesome. I don't want to sound like I'm cheapening the plight of people who have no choice to live

Hello!

My obsession with Andy Kaufman began the first time I heard Man On The Moon by R.E.M., which was just a day or two before New Year's Day 2008, so it's a fairly recent obsession I suppose. Still, I'd say Andy Kaufman is my hero, except that's not grand enough. Andy Kaufman is my GOD.

I have come across Andy Kaufman Lives many times. It's very interesting, and I support the cause, but the proprietor of the website seems a bit unbalanced.

I've never heard of Wave and Wake, though. Thank you for the link!

Also, for what it's worth, I'm currently in the middle of reading The Huey Williams Story.

I don't believe I've come across the part in the book about blood squirting out of a vagina. I'll have to keep an eye out for that.

I have read Lost In The Funhouse, and it was amazing. My favorite part was the retelling of Andy playing Foreign Man in the ice cream shop with his TM friends (I will have de mocha cheep! With de mocha and de cheep!"). I've also read Bob Zmuda's book and I own Man On The Moon on DVD. Bob Zmuda's book was entertaining, but I got the impression that Lost In The Funhouse gave a much better picture of Andy. I am aware of the inconsistencies with Andy's life and Man On The Moon, but regardless, it's a wonderful movie. It gave me more respect for Jim Carrey.

I would LOVE to get Carnegie Hall on DVD, in addition to My Breakfast With Blassie, and just about any other Andy Kaufman DVD I could find. I was hoping to get them through a trade from a website called Swaptree, but it doesn't seem like anyone has them at the moment.
