I took my car in to the Toyota dealership for maintenance today. Just routine stuff. It wasn't quite due for any work yet but I had a coupon that was going to expire on 4/2, and the rear end was feeling a little off to me in some turns, so I figured I'd go ahead and get things taken care of. The more I thought about it (too much by far) the more I felt like the dealership had screwed several things up here. I still think that taking my car was pretty mindboggling, but the dealership: didn't contact me when the car was actually ready to go, didn't investigate or respond when I said I'd seen the car by the exit, didn't think anything of the loaner car not disappearing, and just generally seemed to be running a pretty loose ass operation. We all make mistakes and I see way too many where I work, I just feel like this said "warning sign", try another dealer. Alas none are too close but I am going to see if another is usable for routine stuff. Oh and then they basically tried to buy me off with a cookie. Sigh. See what I mean about thinking about this too much? :) ...let go....
